Tuntuvak takes its name from the Yup’ik word for moose, often explained as “big deer.” It is a name rooted in Alaska’s language and landscape, belonging to an animal whose presence can make an entire forest feel still. To us, the moose represents quiet strength, independence, and the ability to move through a demanding world with a steady stride.

That spirit lives at the heart of our brand.

Born and built as a brand in Alaska, Tuntuvak draws inspiration from a place that leaves its mark on you. Cold air filling your lungs. Spruce trees bending in the wind. A gravel road disappearing into mountains, with enough daylight left to find out where it goes. Life here teaches you to respect the weather, look out for each other, and recognize how much there is to discover when you leave room for the unexpected.

We carry that northern spirit into everything we create: an appreciation for comfort, a sense of adventure, and the freedom to follow your own direction.

Our roots are Alaskan, and our invitation reaches everywhere. Tuntuvak is for anyone who has felt the pull of an unfamiliar road or stayed outside a little longer because the evening was too good to leave. For those chasing the wind along a coastline, finding their footing on a mountain trail, or rolling down the windows somewhere far from home. Adventure takes a different shape for each of us. There is room here for yours.

We believe in turning off the beaten path. In making time for a fire with friends. In taking the long way home because there is a river you want to stop beside, a view you haven’t seen, or a conversation you aren’t ready to end.

That is what Tuntuvak represents: the strength to be yourself, the curiosity to keep exploring, and a connection to the outdoors that you can carry wherever life takes you.

Tuntuvak is a US Veteran owned company. Our team is brought together by a shared passion for the outdoors, adventure and the wild places that make the Great North home. Before the road had a name, the wind already knew the way.
